Kira-Anne Pelican, PhD

Kira-Anne Pelican, PhD is the author of The Science of Writing Characters: Using Psychology to Create Compelling Fictional Characters. She began her career working for Stanley Kubrick on Eyes Wide Shut, took roles on The Matrix films and The Ladykillers before moving into screenwriting as a writer, script consultant and educator. Kira-Anne runs popular workshops on psychology for writers based on the research for her book and PhD, which investigated the relationship between character psychology and audience engagement.
