In Killa, Moreno reimagines The Phantom of the Opera as a modern hip-hop tale, following the journey of an aspiring emcee who faces death in a contest for a record deal from her idol. The novella is told in the style of an epic rap and is an adaptation of Moreno's Austin Film Festival-finalist script.

Killa features Moreno's signature style of crafting powerful and engaging stories, showcasing the lengths we'll go to achieve fulfillment (and where joy truly lies) in a twisted, suspense-filled take on the quest for the American Dream.

"Killa is a passion project, and I'm beyond thrilled to see it come to life in book form," Moreno said. "I believe this story will resonate with readers passionate about music, horror, and the power of artists to shape our reality."

Killa: A Mixtape Novella is available for purchase at major online retailers and through select independent booksellers.
