Marc Madnick, co-wrote the book for Liberty Smith, a new musical that recently had its world premiere at Ford's Theatre in Washington D.C. Liberty Smith is described as a "madcap musical romp through Revolutionary America." The musical weaves its way through familiar tales of the birth of the United States, featuring historical figures such as George Washington, Benjamin Franklin and Paul Revere. Liberty Smith "recalls the lush heyday of the American musical."
Liberty Smith, with music by Michael Weiner; lyrics by Adam Abraham; book by Marc Madnick, Eric R. Cohen and Adam Abraham; based on an original story by Marc Madnick and Eric R. Cohen; choreographed by Denis Jones; and directed by Matt August; runs March 23-May 21, 2011 at Ford's Theatre in Washington D.C.
