SELLING YOUR SCREENPLAY: Ep. 535 – The Ladybug Effect With Greg Porper
In this episode of the podcast your host Ashley Scott Meyers talks with filmmaker Greg Porper.
Our guest Greg Porper is the Writer/Director of the indie Dark Comedy Don't Tell Larry along with Co-Writer/Director John Schimke. The movie is an irreverent work place comedy in the tone of Office Space (1999). Don't Tell Larry features a great cast such as Ed Begley Jr. who's prolific credits include TV shows Better Call Saul, Six Feet Under and the movie Pineapple Express.
Topics also include how this project started out as a web series which became a proof of concept. Why they filmed the movie in Texas. Or how Greg Porper started out in marketing and turned a visit to the barber into a promotional opportunity.
At the end of the interview, Greg tells an interesting story from the set which is a filmmaking principle we can call The Ladybug Effect.
