So, how does a guy who’s got a reputation as a pot-smoking cut-up manage to write, star and produce a big-budget action adventure like this? The truth is, he’s not that much of a cut-up. He’s actually a really smart guy who will totally nerd out when it comes to screenwriting. Our favorite kind! Script sat down with McBride to have a philosophical conversation on what it takes to write good comedy, fight big studio bosses and stay true to story.
