Announcing the New Script University!
Script University delivers compelling online courses, to help you succeed in both improving your craft and discovering opportunities for a successful writing career.
Founded in 1989 as a snail-mail newsletter, before "newsletter" was a marketing buzz term, Script brought helpful articles to writers both inside and outside of L.A. In fact, it was the very first screenwriting magazine I purchased back in 2004 as I began my pursuit of screenwriting. I devoured every issue that landed in my mailbox, especially Dave Trottier's "Dr. Format" column and Ray Morton's "Meet the Reader." Script eventually evolved past print and launched an online presence, and our community grew globally.
When I took over the helm in 2012, it was a dream come true. I'm not only a writer, just like you, I'm also a learning junkie. Even as Editor-in-Chief, I glean nuggets of gold from our contributors.
After 32 years as the editorial leader in screenwriting information, we are excited to rebrand Screenwriters University as Script University. Going forward, we will be even more devoted to helping writers learn from industry professionals in the comfort of their own home. Our goal is to continue delivering high-quality content, as well as compelling online courses, to help you succeed in both improving your craft and discovering opportunities for a successful writing career.
