The Produced By Conference is offering: The Art and Craft of Pitching for Film and Television
The first step to getting your project made is developing a rock-solid pitch. There's a right way to pitch your ideas, and this is your chance to learn it. At Produced By, you will have the opportunity to test out your pitching skills on a stellar panel of experienced producers.
You'll be pitching to Gloria Calderon-Kellet (One Day at a Time, How I Met Your Mother), DeVon Franklin (Miracles from Heaven, The Star), Marshall Herskovitz (The Last Samurai, Blood Diamond) and Sarah Schechter (Riverdale, Supergirl).
Whether you are selected to deliver your pitch or simply watch from the audience, you'll be receiving invaluable information and insider perspectives you just can't get anywhere else.
JUST FOR THE RECORD: Our panelists will NOT be buying pitches. The focus in this session is solely on developing this essential producing skill and learning its finer points via real-time case studies.
Plus, you'll learn first-hand what makes your particular project marketable, as well as which concepts and elements of the story resonate the most.
If you are interested in offering a pitch for critique, sign up. Deadline for pitches is May 22nd! Please note that a full release will need to be signed and returned to the PGA along with your submission.
It's an incredible opportunity to learn from the best what works and what doesn't. Don't miss out!
P.S. You don't need to be registered to attend Produced By to submit a project for consideration.

Editor's Note: Last year, I attended the pitching event at Produced By. Even if you don't get chosen to pitch, simply listening to the feedback of a writer's pitch from seasoned producers gives you valuable insight into the mind of the executive.
