1:00-1:45 PM: Panelists Dina Hiller, former VP/ Comedy Development at Paramount Television (Community) Adam Peck, owner/president of Synchronicity Management, screenwriter Steve Pink (High Fidelity) listen to DePaul students pitch their projects. DePaul faculty member, Chris Parrish, moderates.
2:15-3 PM: Script Magazine’s editor, Jeanne Veillette Bowerman, talks to a panel of screenwriters and fellow Script contributors on ideation and living the creative life in a money-driven business. Hear insights from screenwriters Doug Richardson (Die Hard 2, Bad Boys, Hostage), Tawnya Bhattacharya (Perception, Night Shift) and Rebecca Norris Resnick (Cloudy with a Chance of Sunshine).
3:30-4:30 PM: Howard Rodman, Writer’s Guild of America president discusses the issues facing writers today with Brad Riddell, DePaul screenwriting professor.
5:00-6:00 PM: Don't miss the chance to peek into the mind of Oscar-winning screenwriter Tom Schulman (Dead Poets Society, What About Bob?) as he talks about his writing process with DePaul screenwriting professor, Matt Quinn.
6:30-7:30 PM: What is it like to be a top female writer in Hollywood? Oscar-nominated writer Meg LeFauve, talks about writing for Pixar, Marvel and the challenges facing female writers with DePaul Professor, Jessica King.
