Women in Film & Television International Short Film Showcase 



The Women in Film & Television International Short Film Showcase (“WIFTI SHORT-CASE”) is a powerful demonstration of our members’ creativity, vision, and artistry. Founded in 2004, the Showcase not only presents selected films from WIFTI Chapters around the world; some of the recent Showcase short films have been nominated for Academy Awards received distribution deals, garnered recognition around the world. Last year for the 10th anniversary, WIFTI Short-Case received 869 submissions from 58 countries.

About WIFTI:Women In Film and Television International (WIFTI) is a global network comprised of over forty Women In Film Chapters worldwide with over 10,000 members, dedicated to advancing professional development and achievement for women working in all areas of film, video and digital media.


  • FREE to all current members of Women in Film Chapters around the world. These members are eligible to submit their film(s) through their respective chapter or directly to Showcase Producers. Narrative films, animation, documentaries, are all permitted.
  • The films must be directed by a woman AND involve a woman in another key role (i.e.: writer, producer, editor, director of photography etc.)
  • Run time must be under 15 minutes.
  • Less than 2 years old, created (2014 and later)
  • Final deadline is October 15. We also offer an “initial” evaluation where filmmakers can ask for feedback of their films. Early Deadline is September 1.



  • Submit your Video: Upload your video to VIMEO or other site – secured, password protected for use of WIFTI Showcase producers, judges and Chapter representatives ONLY)

February 8, 2016 Jury Selection of Award Winners
